Vibrational Sound Therapy

Vibrational Sound Therapy (VST) creates profound effects on the body and the mind. It combines powerful vibration and gentle tones to induce an immediate state of relaxation and healing. During a VST session your body and nervous system will go through noticeable changes, responding to deeper and deeper states of rest. VST has very strong effects on alertness and perception. The level of relaxation achieved during a VST session are similar to the effects of yoga, tai chi, and meditation. Multiple instruments may be used in any session, including Himalayan Singing Bowls, Tuning Forks, Drums, Chimes, Gongs, and others.

Benefits of Vibrational Sound Therapy

VST and other relaxation therapies can reduce the symptoms of stress by slowing your heart rate, lowering blood pressure, and slowing the breathing. The vibrations from the singing bowls placed on the body flow to major muscles, reducing muscle tension, and gently reducing chronic pain. The gentle tones focus the mind, fostering stronger concentration and balanced moods while reducing fatigue.

A unique benefit of VST is that once a client is familiar with the process, the overall time between the beginning of the session and the point of relaxation becomes shorter and shorter.

Group Sound Therapy

Group VST Sessions are also offered weekly in our studio. These sessions provide an introduction to VST without the application of instruments directly on the body, while offering many of the same benefits. Regular participation in group sound therapy sessions has been shown to have positive cumulative effects that come on sooner and more deeply the more you attend. Improved sleep, increased creativity, less brain-fog, and reductions in chronic pain and stress/anxiety have all been reported.
